About: As the opening track, 'Opening Sequence' captures the initial shock and disbelief following a breakup, embodying the stage of denial in Kübler-Ross’ model of grief. The lyrics portray an intense emotional upheaval and yearning to relive moments with a lost love, using cinematic metaphors to highlight the disorientation and resistance to accepting the end of the relationship. The song sets the stage for Minisode 2's exploration of heartbreak and the journey toward emotional healing. [Please note that this is our interpretation of the song's meaning, based on the ongoing narrative of TXT's discography and insights from the members and official press releases. It's perfectly fine to have a different interpretation—after all, that's the beauty of music ♡]

LYRICS (translations by @translatingTXT)

The screen plays in reverse from the moment we broke up

The movie begins with the scene where you and I ended

You’re walking away, the build-up of this breakup

The opening sequence rewinds the incident

Ah, this familiar pain

I can see you in my memories

Dance with me, dance with me, dance with me

Take one more chance on me, chance on me, chance on me

I'm bleeding painfully, painfully, painfully

You in the faded picture

And your gaze that erased me

Stay for me, stay for me, stay for me

I can't get used to it, used to it, used to it

It repeats brutally, I can’t endure it

I cry

Why'd you laugh?

I see it, your ghost smiling at me

The calendar taking a step backwards

It's driving me crazy

So many memories fade and dissolve

Someone please stop this opening sequence, no

It's running through my head

It's just hitting me now

All the hidden foreshadowing

You and the promised end of the world

Reference to TXT's song 0x1=LOVESONG: "Say you love me / Till the end of the world"

"That's so cliche"

I can see you in my memories

Dance with me, dance with me, dance with me

Take one more chance on me, chance on me, chance on me

I'm bleeding painfully, painfully, painfully

You in the faded picture

And your gaze that erased me

Stay for me, stay for me, stay for me

I can't get used to it, used to it, used to it

It repeats brutally, I can’t endure it

I cry

I can't do anything anyway

Blame on me, blame on me, blame on me

The tragedy, tragedy, tragedy of you and me

I’m filled with sorrow, sorrow, sorrow

This scene traps me

This sequence feels like eternity

Stay for me, stay for me, stay for me

I can't get used to it, used to it, used to it

It repeats brutally

I can’t endure it

I cry

Helpful Context (Album Summary): 'Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child' captures the emotional turbulence of adolescence, focusing on heartbreak, identity, and self-discovery. This concept album uses Kübler-Ross’ model of the 5 stages of grief—Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance—as a framework to represent the journey of emotional processing the boys undergo following a significant breakup. This introspective journey allows them to confront their mixed emotions and find a path to healing. Acting as a crucial transition, the album links the chaotic experiences of the 'Chaos Chapters' with the personal growth and future aspirations explored in the 'Name Chapters.' By reflecting on their struggles and self-discovery, 'Thursday’s Child' sets the stage for the next chapter in their evolving story, marking a significant step toward their maturation and understanding of their place in the world.

Helpful Context (Album Series Summary): In between each series of chapters in TXT's discography,  'minisodes' are released. Minisodes are not directly part of TXT's discography-driven storyline, but they act as interludes /transitions between each set of chapters.
