About: 'Happy Fools' delves into the boys’ enjoyment of carefree moments and their temptation to remain in a state of blissful ignorance. It mirrors the enchanting freedom of Neverland, highlighting the allure of avoiding reality. However, it also hints at the unsustainable nature of such escapism, reflecting the conflict between the desire to stay perpetually youthful and the necessity of confronting adult responsibilities. [Please note that this is our interpretation of the song's meaning, based on the ongoing narrative of TXT's discography and insights from the members and official press releases. It's perfectly fine to have a different interpretation—after all, that's the beauty of music ♡]

BEOMGYU: "The lyrics are about how I want to leave my current worries for the me of tomorrow and just enjoy the moment right now that won’t come back. Me and the members thought about our own experiences and wrote the lyrics to the song.  Everyone has a time like that in their life, right? People telling you that the future is important even though you’re working really hard right now. Times when people tell you that you can’t delay things anymore, so you just have to walk the skewed path. It’s a song that we wrote honestly by thinking back to our thoughts in times like this.”

Note: There is also a "TXT version" of this song that features a new rap verse written by Yeonjun, replacing Coi Leray's verse from this original track. The TXT version is not available on music streaming services but is uploaded on TXT's channel along with a special performance clip.

LYRICS (translations by @translatingTXT)

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy happy

I have so much to do

But no plans on doing it

They always say the future's more important than the present

No matter what they say

I don’t care, I give up

I've already hopped on this skewed path,

Just enjoying it

They say I’m a fool

But even if things get delayed, I’m not afraid

Every day is happy

I’m locked in a sweet moment

Leave those worries for the me of tomorrow

This moment right now will never come again, yeah

I don’t want to leave

Here on this path of pleasure, I’m like a butterfly

The honey bee that only works

Has no idea how pretty the sunset sky is

BEOMGYU: "A honeybee or a worker ant doesn’t have a chance to see how pretty the sky is because it only ever works, and they do the same work every day; I felt like that was me when I used to be nervous and impatient at the thought that I must do better. During my trainee days, I used to look at the sky first thing when I got off work - that’s when I used to feel like my day was put together. But one day I was thinking and suddenly realized that I had never seen the daylight sky with the sun out or the sunset. I felt a bit unfair when I realized this, so I thought of that while writing these lyrics."

Don’t wanna do my thing

I have no regrets

I’ll be the laziest Superman

So follow me

This lush taste of laziness

It's so sweet

The dreamlike guilty pleasure right before my eyes

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy happy

Gucci coats & kisses

You should know that I’m expensive

Take a trip from Cali

Now my Rollie on Korean time

Foreign came in lemon lime

I just wanna live my life

Yea I like red roses

But I rather you come spend some time

H-A-P-P-Y

We go up like the moon

TXT and Coi Leray

Get it poppin’ like balloons

We gon’ party every day

Living like some happy fools

Doing what we wanna do

Yea yea yea

I want to savor this moment,

I’m the center of the world,

I’m like a butterfly

The honey bee that only works can't even feel the pleasant breeze

Don’t wanna do my thing

I have no regrets

I’ll be the laziest Superman

So follow me

The lush taste of laziness

It's so sweet

The dreamlike guilty pleasure right before my eyes

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy happy
