LYRICS (translations by @translatingTXT)

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy happy

I have so much to do

But no plans on doing it

They always say the future's more important than the present

No matter what they say

I don’t care, I give up

I've already hopped on this skewed path,

Just enjoying it

They say I’m a fool

But even if things get delayed, I’m not afraid

Every day is happy

I’m locked in a sweet moment

Leave those worries for the me of tomorrow

This moment right now will never come again, yeah

I don’t want to leave

Here on this path of pleasure, I’m like a butterfly

The honey bee that only works

Has no idea how pretty the sunset sky is

BEOMGYU: "A honeybee or a worker ant doesn’t have a chance to see how pretty the sky is because it only ever works, and they do the same work every day; I felt like that was me when I used to be nervous and impatient at the thought that I must do better. During my trainee days, I used to look at the sky first thing when I got off work - that’s when I used to feel like my day was put together. But one day I was thinking and suddenly realized that I had never seen the daylight sky with the sun out or the sunset. I felt a bit unfair when I realized this, so I thought of that while writing these lyrics."

Don’t wanna do my thing

I have no regrets

I’ll be the laziest Superman

So follow me

This lush taste of laziness

It's so sweet

The dreamlike guilty pleasure right before my eyes

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy happy

Why do you keep pecking?

Are you a pigeon or what?

There you go nitpicking and nagging again

Even if I know with my head, my heart's far away

Ants, good luck but this grasshopper is off!

Reference to 'The Ant & the Grasshopper', one of Aesop's fables and a well-known children's story about an ant that spends the entire summer working and gathering food to prepare for the winter.

End of discussion

You’re not my teacher, this ain't no school

Some say our brains are empty, but we're happy full

'Happy full' sounds like 'happy fool' (the title of the song), making this line witty wordplay as the word right before was 'empty'

Let’s all hang out, just five Poohs

Reference to the character Winnie the Pooh who is often referred to as "a bear of very little brains"

We’re living that honey-sweet life

This lyric is referencing a Korean expression that implies one is living an easy-going, carefree life—like being assigned a task so simple it feels as effortless as eating honey.  It blends the references to the ant and grasshopper fable and Winnie the Pooh, who is known for his love of honey. In this metaphor, ‘honey’ symbolizes carefreeness, with the overall image leaning towards the grasshopper’s relaxed approach to life.

I want to savor this moment,

I’m the center of the world,

I’m like a butterfly

The honey bee that only works can't even feel the pleasant breeze

Don’t wanna do my thing

I have no regrets

I’ll be the laziest Superman

So follow me

The lush taste of laziness

It's so sweet

The dreamlike guilty pleasure right before my eyes

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy fools

Happy happy happy happy
