MINISODE 3: TOMORROW

APRIL 1 2024 | 6TH MINI ALBUM | TITLE TRACK: DEJA VU

“Close your eyes, Wendy. Leave tomorrow behind. Take my hand, and let’s go to a place where we will never grow old, with no worries.” These words, from The Name Chapter concept trailer, once captured the fantasy of eternal youth: the desire to escape time. But Minisode 3: TOMORROW marks a shift. Now, the boys* no longer run from the future. Strengthened by clarity, confidence, and sincerity, they face tomorrow head-on. Inspired by The Little Prince, the album explores unseen but enduring bonds: love, memory, and hope. Like the Prince, the boys navigate the present with quiet resilience, believing that what matters most is felt with the heart. The album tells the story of a boy who, holding on to a past promise, embarks on a journey to find 'you'* - the one he vowed to meet again. Believing “tomorrow” holds that long-awaited reunion, he faces the challenges of today with hope. Minisode 3: TOMORROW stands as a testament to youth’s enduring optimism — the belief that even amid uncertainty, tomorrow is still worth reaching for. (For a deeper understanding of how this album draws inspiration from 'The Little Prince, check out our in-depth breakdown of that connection here.)

*In the context of TXT’s discography, the term ‘boy’/‘boys’ are used to represent both the members themselves as well as serve as generalized protagonists embodying the universal experiences of youth. Similarly, ‘you’ is intentionally open-ended, allowing multiple interpretations of the relationship - whether platonic, romantic, fan-artist, or otherwise - inviting listeners to connect with the story in their own way.

In between each series of chapters in TXT's discography,  'minisodes' are released. Minisodes serve as transitional bridges, between chapters, guiding the listener from one era to the next while introducing new themes and emotional turning points.

2. - --- -- --- .-. .-. --- .—

‘- — — — ·-· ·-· — ·–’ (meaning "Tomorrow" in Morse code) is an interlude track that continues TXT’s signature use of Morse code, a motif they've employed since their debut. The debut title track ‘CROWN’ opens with Morse code for "Crown," which is also revisited in the bridge of the song. Morse code appears in various other moments throughout TXT’s journey, including their pre-debut introduction films, the 'Dream Chapter: Eternity' concept trailer, and several performances. The repetition of this motif creates a sense of déjà vu, smoothly transitioning into the title track of this album, ‘Deja Vu,’ which also makes reference to Morse code in its lyrics.

“The Morse code translates to ‘tomorrow’ and it’s supposed to symbolise the future that we are going to build together and also give that hopeful vibe that there’s going to be an even brighter future.” – Hueningkai
