ABOUT/MEANING: “Blue Hour” captures the fleeting beauty of the brief period between day and night, when the setting sun transforms the familiar world into something momentarily magical. Caught within this in-between time with someone important, the boy wants the moment to continue, even while recognising that darkness will inevitably arrive. Its beauty therefore carries an underlying melancholy: what makes the blue hour precious is precisely the fact that it cannot last.
That transition becomes a metaphor for the uncertainty of growing up. Like the sky suspended between daylight and night, the boys find themselves between what they once knew and whatever comes next.
