SUMMARY: Where NO LABELS: PART 01 focused on showing who Yeonjun is, PART 02 turns towards discovering sides of himself he had not fully recognised before. During its creation, Yeonjun realised that even he had formed certain ideas about who “Yeonjun” was supposed to be = and that those self-imposed frames could become limitations of their own. Across six tracks, the album steps beyond those assumptions. Playfulness and restraint, vulnerability and confidence, tenderness and ambition coexist as Yeonjun experiments with emotions and expressions he may not previously have associated as readily with himself. Rather than replacing other people’s definitions with a fixed definition of his own, he allows himself to be surprised by what emerges. PART 02 consequently presents self-understanding as something ongoing. Knowing yourself does not require deciding exactly who you are and remaining that person forever; it can also mean recognising that your understanding of yourself will continue changing. Rather than completing Yeonjun’s self-portrait, PART 02 deliberately leaves it open. There will always be another side of himself still waiting to be discovered.

NO LABELS SERIES SUMMARY:  The NO LABELS series is Yeonjun’s exploration of identity beyond any single definition. Throughout his career, countless words and images have become associated with him - artist, performer, idol, “all-rounder” and many more - but no individual description can encompass everything he is or everything he might still become. Rather than rejecting those labels as false, NO LABELS rejects the idea that any of them should become a boundary. PART 01 gives Yeonjun the freedom to express different sides of himself without choosing one to define his solo identity; PART 02 extends that freedom inward, challenging even the assumptions he has formed about himself and creating space to discover qualities he had not fully recognised before. The series therefore never attempts to arrive at one definitive version of Yeonjun. Confidence and vulnerability, power and gentleness, playfulness and introspection can coexist without contradiction. Identity is not something that must eventually be reduced to a clear answer, but something complex, changing and continually experienced. Ultimately, NO LABELS arrives at the simplest answer possible: Yeonjun is Yeonjun. His identity does not need another label to explain it, and understanding who he is does not require placing new boundaries around who he can become.
