SUMMARY: As his debut solo album, NO LABELS: PART 01 marks not just Yeonjun’s first step as a soloist, but his quiet rebellion against every definition that has ever tried to contain him. It’s an act of self-reclamation - the moment he turns the gaze inward, stripping away the expectations of “idol,” “member,” “ace,” to reveal the person underneath. As his solo debut, Yeonjun’s first chapter begins with selfhood: the confrontation between who he’s been told to be and who he actually is. Here, freedom doesn’t arrive in grandeur, but through honesty. Each track becomes a mirror, reflecting his contradictions, ambitions, and the raw noise of becoming. The album’s genre fluidity mirrors that same refusal to be pinned down; hard rock bleeds into hip-hop, R&B into confession, until no single sound can define him. The point isn’t to prove versatility, but to show that identity itself is fluid - that authenticity can hold chaos and confidence in the same breath. To move with no labels is to risk misunderstanding, to choose self-definition over acceptance. But it’s also an affirmation: that artistry begins where imitation ends.
