'MINISODE 2: THURSDAY'S CHILD' SUMMARY: minisode 2: Thursday’s Child explores the aftermath of first heartbreak and the painful process of discovering who you are when the person who once gave your world meaning is no longer there. The love that offered salvation throughout The Chaos Chapter ultimately proves unable to last, leaving the boy - who had relied upon that connection for warmth, meaning and direction - lost and emotionally hollow. Across the album, his response to the breakup moves through different stages of heartbreak, echoing the emotional progression of the Kübler-Ross model of grief. Yet heartbreak becomes more than an ending. By confronting loss rather than continuing to define himself through another person, the boy gradually begins to turn towards the future. Thursday’s Child therefore marks a crucial transition from seeking salvation in someone else towards discovering his own identity, purpose and - ultimately - his name.
