About: ‘Ghosting’ captures the eerie void left when someone important is abruptly cut off from your life, expressing the boys’ confusion and hurt as they navigate the emptiness of "being ghosted" by a friend or loved one. The lyrics reflect disconnection and loss, themes especially poignant during adolescence as friendships change and life becomes more complex. This sense of abandonment and longing amidst uncertainty resonates with TXT’s experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, when they were unable to connect with MOA. The song also recalls an earlier time in TXT's career when health issues delayed their first comeback, preventing them from meeting MOA and leading to a withdrawal of support from many fans from their debut era who were tired of waiting for a comeback. Here, the metaphor of ghosting reflects the fear of disconnection and the struggle to cope with the void left by these missed interactions. As the opening track of Minisode 1, 'Ghosting' sets a reflective tone on the uncertain, fractured connections of isolation. [Please note that this is our interpretation of the song's meaning, based on the ongoing narrative of TXT's discography and insights from the members and official press releases. It's perfectly fine to have a different interpretation—after all, that's the beauty of music ♡]

LYRICS (translations by @translatingTXT)

You disappeared, dis-disappeared

Like a faint ghost, dis-disappeared

You disappeared, dis-disappeared

Like a faint ghost, dis-disappeared

In a room where only echoes remain

I wander alone all the time

I’m like a ghost

Like a ghost

Messages filling up the rectangular screen

Our tiki-taka was so good

Tiki taka is Korean slang used to describe a quick back and forth between two people

But something is strange

It's already been a week

Still, only the number greets me, just a 1

The "room" mentioned in the lyrics refers to a chatroom on KakaoTalk, Korea's popular messaging app. On KakaoTalk, if the person you text hasn't read your message yet, a '1' will appear next to it. In a group chat, the number represents how many people haven't read your message yet.

Staring blankly at the lonely floating window

To the right, only my words roll around alone

I'm getting more and more anxious

All day all day all day all day

All of a sudden you disappeared, dis-disappeared

Like a faint ghost, dis-disappeared

I ask into the void

What am I to you? (What am I?)

All of a sudden you disappeared, dis-disappeared

Like a faint ghost, dis-disappeared

In this room where only echoes remain

I wander alone all the time

I’m like a ghost

I stare blankly at your new post

Hashtag 'Today_the_sky_is_so_pretty'

I can’t believe it

From my world, you've already logged out

Now I finally realize

Staying up all night again, eyes wide open, like a zombie

I'm searching for a sign of a goodbye in our conversations

But I still don't get it

All day all day all day all day

All of a sudden you disappeared, dis-disappeared

Like a faint ghost, dis-disappeared

I ask into the void

What am I to you? (What am I?)

All of a sudden you disappeared, dis-disappeared

Like a faint ghost, dis-disappeared

In this room where only echoes remain

I wander alone all the time

I’m like a ghost

Honestly, I know that

‘No answer’ is your answer

But I can’t get used to this (oh)

The fact that I’m alone (oh)

Like the ‘us’ in the picture (like that)

We have to go back

I’m still here (I'm still here)

I’m still here

All of a sudden you disappeared, dis-disappeared

Like a faint ghost, dis-disappeared

I ask into the void

What am I to you? (What am I?)

All of a sudden you disappeared, dis-disappeared

Like a faint ghost, dis-disappeared

In this room where only echoes remain

I wander alone all the time

Like a ghost

Helpful Context (Album Summary): ‘Minisode 1: Blue Hour’ by TXT captures a reflective moment in the boys’ journey, focusing on the transitional period between day and night. Serving as a bridge between ‘The Dream Chapter’ and ‘The Chaos Chapter,’ this album delves into feelings of uncertainty and nostalgia during the "blue hour," a metaphor for the confusing and bittersweet experiences of adolescence. The songs explore themes of friendship, change, and the passage of time, conveying a longing for the past while grappling with future uncertainties. Set against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, the boys navigate unprecedented challenges, adding depth to the narrative and highlighting the beauty and complexity of these fleeting moments as they face an uncertain future.

Helpful Context (Album Series Summary): In between each series of chapters in TXT's discography,  'minisodes' are released. Minisodes are not directly part of TXT's discography-driven storyline, but they act as interludes /transitions between each set of chapters.
