ABOUT/MEANING: “Kitto Zutto” expresses the promise to remain beside someone through whatever the future brings. Pain and uncertainty will still come, but instead of promising to remove them, the narrator asks the other person to share what they are carrying and promises not to let go of their hand. Having received that same care in his own difficult moments, he wants to become a source of strength for them in return.
The relationship does not have to be perfect to endure. They may fall out of harmony or stumble along the way, but continuing to walk “in step” together is what allows them to create their own miracles and gradually turn the future they imagined into a shared story. The title combines kitto (きっと), meaning “surely” or “certainly,” with zutto (ずっと), meaning “always” or “continuously,” giving that promise a sense of hopeful conviction: surely, always.
Rather than relying on fate alone, the song ultimately presents lasting connection as something continually chosen and cared for - sharing pain, supporting one another, accepting imperfection and treasuring each moment together.
