ABOUT/MEANING: “Thursday’s Child Has Far To Go” echoes the fifth and final stage of Kübler-Ross’ model of grief: acceptance. After moving through denial, anger, bargaining and depression, the boy is finally able to look beyond the relationship that ended and recognise that his own life continues. The heartbreak remains part of him, but it no longer has to determine where he goes next.
The title draws from the 19th-century nursery rhyme Monday's Child [see below], in which children born on Thursday are said to have “far to go.” Rather than treating that uncertain future as something to fear, TXT transform the phrase into something hopeful. Having far to go also means there is still a long future ahead - new places to reach, experiences to have and versions of yourself yet to discover.
As the closing track of minisode 2: Thursday’s Child, the song completes the album’s progression through grief without presenting acceptance as complete healing or the erasure of heartbreak. Instead, the boy accepts both what he has lost and the fact that he cannot remain defined by that loss. For the first time since the breakup, his attention shifts away from “you” and towards the life still waiting for him.
The album therefore ends not with certainty about who he is, but with the willingness to begin finding out. The boy does not know exactly where the road will lead, but he is finally ready to travel it - carrying what he has learned from the past while beginning to discover who he can become on his own.

CONNECTION: The song's repeated imagery of walking towards the days ahead reverses the backward movement of “Opening Sequence.” At the beginning of the album, the boy's memories and even the calendar seemed to move backwards as he remained trapped in the relationship's ending. By “Thursday's Child Has Far To Go,” his attention has turned in the opposite direction: towards footsteps still to take, days still to experience and a future whose destination he does not yet know.

This is just the beginning
CONNECTION: “This is just the beginning” completes the reversal begun by “Opening Sequence.” The album opens with the boy treating the breakup as a movie he cannot stop replaying - an “opening sequence” that begins with the relationship's ending. By the final song, that ending no longer represents the end of his own story. He can finally recognise it as the beginning of a future that continues beyond “you.”
