NOVEMBER 16 2026 | NINTH MINI ALBUM | TITLE TRACK: ANGEL BITE

SUMMARY: PERFECT STORM explores the pains, frustrations and aspirations of young adulthood, confronting the gap between the reality one inhabits and the life one wishes to lead. Having moved beyond the fantasies and uncertainties of adolescence, the young person now faces a world that feels harsh, disappointing and difficult to escape. The desire for change emerges from this suffocating reality: a longing to break through circumstances that seem immovable, even if doing so means abandoning what is familiar and stepping into the unknown. Yet the desire to escape this reality exists alongside the determination to hold onto someone precious. Love becomes a reason to remain, as the desire to be with “you” persists despite pain, insecurity and the feeling that life falls short of what it could be. This tension between wanting to change one's circumstances and finding something worth holding onto gives the album a more complicated understanding of life: reality can be deeply disappointing without making every connection within it any less meaningful. The storm embodies the force of the desire for transformation, capturing the willingness to confront an unsatisfying reality rather than simply accept it. This imagery also invites a thematic comparison with 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns. Where stillness offered a moment to reflect amid life's complexities, PERFECT STORM turns towards the desire to disrupt a reality that feels stagnant. The two albums need not share a continuous narrative to reflect different responses to the uncertainties of adulthood: understanding where one stands, and finding the courage to change it. Ultimately, PERFECT STORM captures the contradictions of growing up, where disappointment fuels the desire for something better, change demands the courage to leave the familiar behind, and love offers a reason to hold on even when reality falls short of one's hopes.
