ABOUT/MEANING: “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)” portrays love as the only source of meaning within a world that has become empty and chaotic. The boy sees himself as a “zero” - isolated, directionless and surrounded by nothingness - while “you” becomes the single “one” he can still believe in. He may understand little about himself or the world around him, but amid that uncertainty he knows one thing with absolute conviction: he loves you.
The mathematical imagery makes that conviction deliberately impossible. Multiplying zero by one should still produce zero, yet emotionally, the presence of this “one” transforms his otherwise empty world.
