ABOUT/MEANING: “Blue Orangeade” explores the captivating dynamic of a relationship where opposites attract. Its central metaphor draws from complementary colours: blue and orange sit opposite one another on the colour wheel, yet their contrast makes each appear more vivid. Likewise, the song playfully lists differences between two people, suggesting that these opposing qualities are precisely what make them complement one another. Like opposite poles of a magnet, they are different yet naturally drawn together, each possessing something the other lacks.
