ABOUT/MEANING: “Fxxking Star” is Yeonjun’s boldest expression of confidence, individuality and ambition, presenting the fearless performer he wants to continue growing into. Drawing on the double meaning of “star” - both a celebrity who commands attention and a celestial body whose light is impossible to ignore - the song imagines a presence powerful enough to leave its own unmistakable mark.

Yet its ambition is not primarily about proving himself better than everyone around him. Yeonjun has expressed his desire to become “the only one, not the best one”: an artist whose value comes from having an identity that cannot simply be measured through comparison. To shine, in this sense, means becoming increasingly distinct rather than occupying a particular rank.

That makes the certainty of the song especially interesting. Yeonjun has explained that he approached “Fxxking Star” partly as motivation, embodying the confidence and stage presence he still wants to develop. The bravado is therefore both genuine and aspirational - a declaration of self-belief and a vision of the person he is actively working towards becoming.

CONTEXT: Yeonjun has repeatedly expressed a desire to become “the only one” rather than simply “the best one” - an artist distinguished by his own identity rather than by comparison with somebody else. The repeated claims that he is “the only one” and that “there won’t be another” directly reflect that long-standing ambition to become someone uniquely recognisable as Yeonjun.
