ABOUT/MEANING: 'Long Way Long Ride' closes the album by revealing the person behind the performer. After an album that largely explores excitement, connection, confidence, and the image people associate with an artist - reaching its peak in the unapologetic swagger of 'Fxxking Star' - the final track quietly pulls back the curtain to reveal the exhaustion, sadness, and uncertainty that exist behind the spotlight. Written while Yeonjun was experiencing deep burnout following 'NO LABELS: PART 01', the song became a deeply personal letter of reassurance - one he has shared brought him to tears while writing. Rather than looking for comfort from someone else, Yeonjun turns that compassion inward, becoming his own source of support as he offers himself patience, understanding, and permission to rest, cry, and keep moving forward at his own pace. It captures the difficult process of facing pain instead of avoiding it, recognizing that even the hardest parts of the journey can become part of his growth. As the album's closing message, it leaves him with a renewed sense of self-trust - knowing that wherever the road ahead may lead, he can continue walking it while staying true to himself.
LYRICS - ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS (translations by @translatingTXT)
(I could take that)
Long way, long ride with you
It's okay to lean on me
Long way, long ride with you
It's okay to do that
Long way, long ride with you
It's okay to take break
Long way, long ride with you
I'm always by your side
How have you been
Northing much going on
Even when you try to act tough, I know you
(I know you)
You've been chasing highs in all different cities
Wasn't that road rough for you?
You'll probably stay up all night,
Thinking over and over, "Who am I?"
I'll be right there beside you
I'll tell you
Wherever this goes
Let's go together
For the next long ride
(I could take that)
Long way, long ride with you
It's okay to lean on me
Long way, long ride with you
It's okay to do that
Long way, long ride with you
It's okay to take break
Long way, long ride with you
I'm always by your side
Lately, we've been different
It's okay to let yourself out from your prison
Let's just cry it out and let it hurt for now
That's how we face ourselves
You've been chasing highs in different cities
The tear-soaked ground turns into a flower path
You still shine
Jun, the morning always comes
Don't be afraid
We'll be okay
Where this goes
Let's go together
For the next long ride
(What you wanna do, it's fine, you choose)
(By your side, you and I, for the next long ride)
(What you wanna do, it's fine you choose)
(By your side, you and I, for the uh, uh)
(I could take the)
Long way, long ride with you
It's okay to lean on me
Long way, long ride with you
It's okay to do that
Long way, long ride with you
It's okay to take break
Long way, long ride with you
I'm always by your side
Helpful Context (Album Summary): Where 'NO LABELS: PART 01' challenged the labels placed upon Yeonjun, 'NO LABELS: PART 02' reveals the person who exists beyond them. Across six tracks, the album gradually moves from Yeonjun's interactions with others toward his relationship with himself, revealing how every connection and experience becomes part of the person he is still becoming. It embraces the contrasts within him: playfulness and restraint, vulnerability and self-possession, tenderness and ambition, the performer he projects and the person he is behind the spotlight - showing that these sides coexist rather than contradict. Rather than presenting a finished version of himself, the album captures Yeonjun in the ongoing process of understanding and accepting who he is, including the parts of himself he is still learning to embrace. What it ultimately proves is that self-definition was never about isolation: it is about choosing, on his own terms, what and who becomes part of his story.
Help Context (No Labels Series Summary): The 'NO LABELS' series is Yeonjun’s journey of breaking away from every expectation placed upon him and discovering himself beyond a single image. Rather than defining who he is through one concept, one personality, or one role, the series explores the many different versions of Yeonjun that coexist within him - the artist, the performer, the person, and everything in between. Together, both parts create the complete meaning of 'NO LABELS.' The series does not attempt to introduce one final definition of Yeonjun; instead, it proves that he cannot be captured by one adjective or one idea. His confidence and softness, his strength and sensitivity, his stage persona and his everyday self all exist simultaneously. The message is simple: Yeonjun is Yeonjun. His identity does not need to be explained through a label - it only needs to be experienced as it is.
