ABOUT/MEANING: “LO$ER=LO♡ER” captures the frustration of feeling like a failure within a world that measures success through money, status and achievement. Unable to become the “winner” society expects him to be, the boy sees himself as a loser - exhausted by trying to succeed according to rules that seem stacked against him.
The song's title transforms that judgement into a choice. In “LO$ER,” the dollar sign associates being a winner or loser with material measures of success; replacing it with the heart in “LO♡ER” shifts the source of value towards love instead.
