ABOUT/MEANING: “Our Summer” uses summer as a metaphor for the warmth and happiness created by being with someone important. Against images of grey city streets, repetitive routines and changing seasons, “you” makes the world feel brighter and more vivid. Summer becomes not simply a season, but a feeling the two can create together - one that remains even when the world around them is cold. Even seemingly ordinary moments become precious when they are shared with someone who makes them feel special.
Within The Dream Chapter: STAR, the song develops the album’s central idea that meeting someone can transform how you experience the world around you. While “CROWN” shows connection changing the way the boy sees himself, “Our Summer” shows it changing the way he sees everyday life. At this early stage of TXT’s coming-of-age story, that warmth feels uncomplicated and enduring: wherever they are and whatever season surrounds them, being together is enough to create a summer of their own.
