ABOUT/MEANING: “Song of the Stars” brings TXT’s coming-of-age journey full circle, returning to the night sky that has followed their story since The Dream Chapter: STAR. Once symbols of youthful dreams and distant possibilities, the stars now carry the memory of everything the boys have experienced beneath them - friendship, separation, growth, reunion and the repeated choice to find one another again.
The song becomes a thread connecting them across time and distance. By calling each other’s names and continuing to sing the “song of the stars,” they recognise and remember one another after everything that once threatened to make them strangers. Their promise endured not because their bond remained untouched, but because they chose to return, rebuild and continue together after it had been tested. The boys who once stood beneath the stars dreaming about an unknown future have grown into different people without losing their ability to recognise one another, transforming “together” from a youthful hope into something sustained through memory, effort and choice.
As the final song of TXT’s original coming-of-age narrative, this also resonates beyond its fictional framing. TXT themselves have grown from teenagers into adults alongside one another and MOA, allowing its themes of shared time, memory and enduring connection to carry real-world meaning without collapsing those relationships into the story itself.
“Song of the Stars” ultimately ends where TXT’s story began: five boys beneath a night sky, connected by a promise. But tomorrow is no longer somewhere distant they are waiting to reach. After everything they have lived through, they have created it through every choice to return, remain and keep moving forward together.
Tomorrow has arrived - and they arrive together.

CONNECTION: Eternity has repeatedly represented the hope that an important connection can survive change and separation throughout TXT’s story. Here, eternity becomes explicitly tied to remembering: the pair sing “lyrics of eternity to remember each other.” What endures is not an untouched past, but the ability to carry their shared history forward and continue recognising one another through everything that changes.
Song of the stars, the stars with you
The starlight that had taken a nap
CONNECTION: This directly recalls “Nap of a Star,” one of the earliest songs in TXT’s story and the closing track of The Dream Chapter: STAR. By describing the starlight as having “taken a nap,” the finale reaches back to the beginning of their coming-of-age journey, reconnecting the stars above them now with the stars that accompanied their earliest dreams and promises.

CONNECTION: Names and being called by name have recurred throughout TXT’s story as symbols of identity, recognition and being remembered and accepted for who you are. Earlier songs repeatedly turn “call my name” into a plea for that recognition, while reunion gradually makes it mutual. Here, the motif reaches its culmination: at the moment the boy wonders whether anyone will remember him, he hears his name being called. Recognition becomes the answer to isolation - proof that even when he believed himself alone, the connection had not disappeared.
The tears we shed together, the spell we made with them
CONNECTION: This directly recalls “Run Away,” where the boy asks “you” to “create a spell with your tears / so that you won’t cry again.” In “Song of the Stars,” that once-future wish has become a shared memory: “the tears we shed together, the spell we made with them.” Something imagined near the beginning of their journey is now remembered as part of the history they created together.

Earlier songs repeatedly turn “call my name” into a plea for that recognition, while reunion gradually makes it mutual. Here, the motif reaches its culmination: at the moment the boy wonders whether anyone will remember him, he hears his name being called. The chorus then expands “my name” and “your name” into “our names.” Togetherness does not erase either person’s identity; their individual names become part of the shared “song” through which they remember and continue recognising one another.

CONNECTION: “Magic Island” first describes the place shared beneath the stars as “our start line / our star line,” while “Deja Vu” returns to it as the place where “you” continued waiting after the boy repeatedly ran away. Having finally found one another again, “Song of the Stars” declares that they are “again” at the start line. Returning to the beginning does not undo everything that happened between then and now; the same place becomes the starting point for what they choose to build next.
