ABOUT/MEANING: “— — — ·-· ·-· — ·–” is an interlude built around one of TXT’s longest-running motifs: Morse code. Translating to “TOMORROW,” it recalls a device that has accompanied the group since debut, when “CROWN” opened with Morse code spelling its own title, as well as appearing throughout other moments in TXT’s journey.
Its return here consequently creates its own form of déjà vu. A sound associated with TXT’s beginnings reappears years later, immediately before “Deja Vu” - a song centred on recognising a promise and connection from the past. The interlude therefore acts as a bridge between where TXT began and the “tomorrow” towards which minisode 3 is now moving.
Hueningkai explained its meaning directly: “The Morse code translates to ‘tomorrow’ and it’s supposed to symbolise the future that we are going to build together and also give that hopeful vibe that there’s going to be an even brighter future.”
Rather than simply repeating an old motif, the interlude gives it a new destination. The signal that has followed TXT throughout their journey now points towards tomorrow.
