ABOUT/MEANING: “Where Do You Go?” encourages you to stop measuring your life against other people and choose your own direction instead. Surrounded by carefully presented lives on social media, it can be easy to compare yourself, hide your dreams out of fear of being laughed at, or begin feeling like a silent “extra” in somebody else’s story. The song pushes against that pressure, reminding the listener that they only have one life and do not need to impress anyone else.
The repeated question “Where do you go?” therefore becomes an invitation to decide for yourself where your story leads. Rather than suppressing what you want or performing a version of yourself for others, the song encourages you to speak up, show your true self and recognise that you are the star of your own story - a role nobody else can fill. Wherever you choose to go, the days ahead are yours to “paint” according to your own wishes.
LYRICS - ENGLISH TRANSLATION (translation credits: @txtjpntransl)
You can go anywhere
This is your story
You don't need to impress anyone
Where do you go?
Just as you want
Where do you go?
Let's paint your days
It's suffocating recently
SNS is flashy today too
In every post I see
Everyone's face without a single worry
It's always like this, us
Comparing ourselves only to feel sad
Only one life, you're you
Be proud of that
You can go anywhere
This is your story
You don't need to impress anyone
Where do you go?
Just as you want
Where do you go?
Let's paint your days
When did it start?
The feelings inside
I stopped sharing to others
Scared of being laughed at
Dreams I locked away
Like an extra without lines
I want you to stop pretending
It's up to you, don't be afraid
Just shout it out
You can be
The star of the story
No one else can fill that role
Where do you go?
Just as you want
Where do you go?
Let's paint your days
Where do you go?
Wherever you may go
I wanna know
Show me your true self
You can go anywhere
This is your story
You don't need to impress anyone
Where do you go?
Just as you want
Where do you go?
Let's paint your days
Where do you go?
