ABOUT/MEANING: ‘Blue Spring’ is a heartfelt reflection on the transformative power of TXT’s bond with their fans, MOA. The song contrasts the loneliness of winter - represented by the color blue, which also happens to be TXT & MOAs official color - with the warmth and renewal of spring, symbolizing how MOA’s presence has helped TXT bloom. When introducing the song for the first time, Taehyun captured this beautifully, saying: “Before we met MOAs, our lives weren’t exactly warm springs - it was just lonely and blue. We didn’t have a shining youth, but when we met MOA, you bloomed and came to us like spring in the midst of our blues. You are our blue spring.”

This idea takes on even deeper meaning through a clever Korean wordplay. In Korean, the word for "youth" - 청춘 (cheongchun) - is composed of two Sino-Korean roots (Korean words that originate from classical Chinese characters): 청 (靑) meaning blue, and 춘 (春) meaning spring. So, "Blue Spring" isn’t just poetic; it’s a literal translation and expression of youth. This dual meaning reinforces TXT's identity as the “narrators of youth,” and highlights the shared coming-of-age journey between TXT and MOA.

This connection is also reflective of a poignant moment from the Blue Hour comeback show, when Taehyun became emotional reading a MOA’s message which read: “If my youth is TOMORROW X TOGETHER, then my life will always be my youth.” To which he replied: “If my youth is yours, MOA, then my life will always be my youth.” Since then, this exchange has become a beloved phrase between TXT and MOA, symbolizing their deep connection and mutual support.

By calling MOA their "Blue Spring," TXT acknowledges MOA as the ones who transformed their once-lonely youth into something warm, bright, and meaningful. The song fits within TXT’s broader narrative of youth - exploring the uncertainty of growing up and the power of connection. In that journey, "Blue Spring" becomes a reminder that even in life’s hardest seasons, love and support can bring renewal and hope. Ultimately, it’s a tribute to the kind of meaningful relationships that turn darkness into light, and growing pains into growth.

LYRICS

When we're high, when we're low

You're always by my side

All my youth is filled with your warmth

In the warmth of your breath

My once-cold world

Blooms into spring at last

My blue spring

No one knows about that winter

The endless anxieties and nervous heartbeat

Feeling blue, those cold blue days

I remember you, embracing me in your warmth

It's just like magic, you're the only one

SELF REFERENCE: 'Magic'

You turned my horns into a crown

SELF REFERENCE: 'CROWN'

Now all my days and nights

A spring breeze blows when you call out my name

SELF REFERENCE: 'Run Away': "Be my eternity / Please call my name"

When we're high, when we're low

You're always by my side

All my youth is filled with your warmth

In the warmth of your breath

My once-cold world

Blooms into spring at last

My blue spring

(Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)

Flowers, flowers

(Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)

Flowers, flowers

(Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)

Flowers, flowers

It blooms into spring at last

My blue spring

Flowers that bloomed from the blue

Our warm hours

Our promise to be together

After a long winter

CONTEXT/EXPLANATION: This long winter likely alludes to both TXT's trainee period and the 'endless' winter of the pandemic, as mentioned in 'We Lost The Summer.'

You came to me as spring

I'll be with you every moment

You said, "we're destiny"

So I can’t imagine it without you

When we're high, when we're low

You're always by my side

All my youth is filled with your warmth

In the warmth of your breath

My once-cold world

Blooms into spring at last

My blue spring

(Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh) (No)

Flowers, flowers (No)

(Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)

Flowers, flowers

(Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh) (You're the spring of my world that bloomed at last)

Flowers, flowers

It blooms into spring at last (It blooms into spring at last)

My blue spring

(Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh) (Woah-oh-oh-oh)

Flowers, flowers

(Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh) (Woah-oh-oh-oh)

Flowers, flowers

(Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh) (Woah-oh-oh-oh)

Flowers, flowers

It blooms into spring at last

My blue spring (My blue spring)
